Lady MV Fashion Show Recap

New York is considered to be the fashion capital in America which is a rightfully earned title but they have always had to earn that title with L.A. being neck and neck with them.
The recent rise in Black fashion designers across the board has allowed a culture enriched place like L.A. to strive like no other. One of the leaders that is spearheading this black fashion renaissance is “Lady MV” who specializes in making high-end wedding dresses and accessories that are also affordable at the same time.
Lady MV recently held her “2022 Lady MV Winter Holiday Fashion event” This event not only showcased what Lady MV has coming in the near future, but it also gave the spotlight to other up and coming designers.
Some of the featured designers included NYLA Couture, Pool Party Exclusive, Lorenzo Pena, and many other talented designers.
This wasn’t just a moment for the talented designers, this was also about the talented models that graced the runway.
This event saw “TMI Model Firm” models step into the spotlight and represent each designer's work in the best possible light. These talented models not only showed grace and elegance, but they also showed that models truly do come in all different shapes and sizes.
This event was one example of the new fashion scene that is rising adjacent to the traditional scene that has constantly seen the same players year in and year out.
This new era is creating a new fashion world that will hopefully compete with the traditional scene someday, but even if this scene doesn’t necessarily compete with the traditional side of the fashion world, black designers and models will know that they have a space of their own.
