Biannually, the fashion industry hosts a series of events known as "Fashion Week" to showcase new collections from both established and up-and-coming designers. There are two main time periods in which they occur: spring/summer and fall/winter. We usually see the debut of Spring/Summer lines in September.

In this month, we see a shift from dark, wintery fabrics to bright, summery ones. being indicative of the forthcoming season's fashions. This is where the upcoming year's summer's most influential designers debut their new collections, which often include bold color palettes and sculpted silhouettes. For a sneak peek at what's to come in the world of style and design, the fashion industry and its fans eagerly await September's Fashion Week.
These days, a fashion show may be anything from a concert to a performance to a celebrity get-together to a lively party. With the rise of social media, the fashion industry has seen a dramatic transition, with designers now intentionally seeking viral moments that can become social media sensations and have a significant influence rather than focusing on just making the most praised or coveted collections. It comes as no surprise that several landmark events have already been established as September begins and New York Fashion Week kicks off the fashion season.
