To celebrate how Africa is influencing fashion's future, fashion designers, celebrities, social media influencers, and lovers gathered once again in Lagos, Nigeria's fashion capital. Along with guest appearances from artists, Big Brother Naija ex-housemates, and media figures, the collection featured vivid colors, sultry evening attire, and inventive detailing.

More than twenty designers presented their wares throughout the event, and we weren't the least bit let down by any of them. More than ever before, designers prioritized eco-friendly garments and gave classic textiles modern twists; for example, adire (tie-and-dye fabrics) were reinterpreted as something highly desirable.
From October 26-30, 2022, a small group of African fashion designers showcased their wares. Participants hailed from countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, and South Africa. Some designers, like those in the Green Access program for budding designers, held private shows (offsite shows) while others, like the rest of the designers, displayed their work within the regular show venue.

The United States has launched a program called Prosper Africa to help businesses in both Africa and the United States find new customers, vendors, and investment prospects. hosted the Fashion Business Series event at Landmark Towers to discuss concerns hindering the expansion of Africa's creative industry and to attract corporate investment.
We had the pleasure of attending this year’s event and were amazed at the designs, pattern, and artistic creative ability of each showcase.
