Spring Transitional Styles

Andrea Kelley

Chile! I already know what you’re thinking. How am I supposed to prepare for Spring and revamp my wardrobe when the weather is still acting bipolar? You may live in a city where the weather is on and off every other day forcing you to wear a hoodie in the middle of Spring. You may even be experiencing Winter fatigue praying to the Lord Almighty to just change the season already! Whatever your dilemma is sis, we got you covered! Here are a few transitional styles to help you navigate through the never ending cold and hot weather.

1.   Bucket Hats

There is a new trend on the horizon that is making a comeback to fashion outlets everywhere. The mixture between the 2000s trends and a new seventies retro vibe has been making its way in local stores like Forever 21 and Windsor. Windy days calls for a great stylish hat to keep your hair from spiraling out of control! I recommend a cute and stylish bucket hat to help steer the fly aways in the right direction. If it’s a little chilly outside, these kinds of hats will be the perfect complement for any outfit. If your interest isn’t the fluffy bucket hat style, then feel free to go for a more lightweight style that doesn’t weigh down your hair. Try a fun and funky color to amp up your style.

2.   Fun Colors

Whether you are still in transition from the cold weather, try lightweight free flowing blouses to pair with jeans or short cut pants. Try to mix and match colors to find your ideal style when putting an outfit together. Florals will always be in style for the spring and summer time so why not pair a multicolor floral blouse with a nice solid color bottom to bring out the beautiful colors in the shirt. This will add to any outfit when mixing and matching bright colors.

3.   Statement Jackets

Having a nice statement jacket to throw over any outfit whether it’s a gym outfit or a nice brunch ensemble, make sure to color block as well. Color blocking jackets and letterman jackets are trending as well giving the girls lots of options to choose from. Let’s not go overboard with layering color blocking items on top of the other. A nice solid color two-piece outfit paired with a nice statement jacket is always a great go-to to keep warm during the transitioning months.

4.   Ripped Jeans

Another way to stay warm while showing a little skin and still creating a bomb look is an oldie but goodie…ripped jeans. You can forever wear a nice short sleeve top or a lightweight long-sleeve top with jeans. We recommend a high waisted pair of jeans that have just enough rip to accentuate your waist and not take too much attention away from the entire outfit. With a pair of ripped jeans like this, you can wear a fun-colored top and keep it simple with the bottom. A nice pair of heels or opened toed flats would do the trick to complete this type of outfit.

5.   Maxi Dresses

Another way to transition into spring is to keep it simple with a classic maxi dress. A long-fitted maxi dress is the perfect complement to a sunny day. Try switching it up and keeping it simple with solid colors to wear with bomb statement shoes. You can also add in a colorful mini purse with a sexy pair of sunnies We are loving the bare minimum look this spring to give the girls a more mature and effortless look. We love to see those gym bodies show off in a cute maxi dress to inspire all the non-gym bodies to hit their local gym. Lol.
